The Board of Directors would like for you to "Unite With Us" as we move forward in the fight against HIV/AIDs and other health and social disparities. This is our 11th year working in your communities to bring awareness, prevention, testing and counseling on HIV/AIDS.
Services of UDCRC
Prevention Education
HIV prevention education is done at the mobile unit during outreach. We also provide HIV education in the jails, juvenile detention centers, work release centers, halfway houses, nursing homes, community housing projects and other locations.
Outreach Testing and Counseling and Referral
Our outreach component using a mobile unit to go into neighborhoods to educate on HIV, test, counsel, refer and locate individuals who have fallen out of care, along with newly diagnosed HIV positive individuals, through Advanced Rapid Testing. They are referred to the ARTAS program for medicines and treatment and CRCS for prevention.
ARTAS (Antiretroviral Treatment Access Study)
All HIV positive clients are referred to our ARTAS program to obtain counseling, treatment and medicines. Doctor's appointments with the Palm Beach County Health Department, private doctors and other appropriate referrals are made. Participants are also educated on the spread of HIV.
